Mark joined Le Triomphe Golf & Country Club as Director of Junior Golf Development on July 4th, 2023. He came to Louisiana from Valdosta Country Club in Valdosta, Georgia. At Valdosta, he served their membership as Head Golf Professional while being mentored by Georgia PGA President, Cary Brown. In his time at the club, he developed a large junior golf program that led to record breaking junior participation at the club. Prior to his time at Valdosta, Mark served as an Assistant Golf Professional and Head Golf Professional at Doublegate Country Club in Albany, Georgia. During his time at Doublgate, he was mentored by Glen Herrell who has shaped him into becoming the professional that he is today. At Doublegate, Mark further developed the skills to create junior programing that has led to his successes there and soon to be at Le Triomphe.
The most outstanding moments in his career include: attaining his PGA membership in 2020, receiving Youth Development Leader of the Year Award, Assistant of the Year Award, having the opportunity to work for two Presidents of the Georgia PGA, and developing members and guests to become better golfers and individuals. Mark's background in golf and his love for the game began as he was grew up at Waterford Golf Club in Bonaire, Georgia, playing with his friends and the professionals of the club. He earned a scholarship to play for Andrew College 2009 – 2011, then finished his playing career at Reinhardt University 2012 – 2014, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Administration. |
